ROS RAP SYSTEM
1. Each event will count for 2 points. 1 point during event after engaging target, half a point at buffing, and half a point at raid end. For multiple targets, one point added for each target. Example 1: PoNb: kill Terris Thule. A total of 2 points will be given. half a point present at buffing, point for Terris Thule, half a point at raid end. Example 2: PoFire: kill charm birds, magmaton, babs. A total of 4 points will be given. half a point present at buffing, point for charm birds, point for magmaton, point for babs, half a point at raid end. Example 3: First event, PoTactics: kill Vallon Zek. Second event, PoInnovation: kill MB. A total of 4 points are given. Half a point present at buffing for both targets, point for both targets, half a point at end of raid for both targets. (Basically, if we have to change zones to go from one target to the next, it will be counted as a seperate event instead of one event with multiple targets.)
2. Loot distribution based on three categories. A. Major loot. B. Minor loot. C. Rot random loot.
3. Loot dropped will first be announced as major loot, anyone wishing to gain loot and using it as major loot will spend 15 RAP. Decision will be based upon RAP and Ratio. Loot Council weighs each person requesting for RAP and Ratio.
4. Loot dropped and nobody requests as major, will then be offered as minor. using same decision as major loot, only with a lowered spending of 7 RAP for the loot.
5. Loot dropped not requested as major or minor loot, will then be considered Rot loot, and may be /randomed by any person attending event regardless of RAP or attendance percentage.
6. RAP is determined by a person's total Raid Attendance Points earned, less points spent and adjustments.
7. Ratio is determined by number of events a person attends divided by total number of events sheduled from a specified starting point (attendance percentage) times total number of points a person has.
Example 1: Staffros has attended 14 out of 20 events. His raid average is 70%. He has 28 raid points. His Ratio is 19.6.
Example 2: Brackk has attended 35 out of 50 events. His raid average is 70%. He has 70 raid points. His Ratio is 49.
8. Loot distribution is determined by both RAP and Ratio. Initially, RAP will be the first deciding factor. The person with the highest RAP requesting an item that dropped will be selected. Any other person(s) with no more than 10 RAP lower than this person will then also be selected. Of those with the highest RAP selected, the one with the highest Ratio will be awarded the dropped item.
9. A needed 25% Raid Attendance to be eligible for loot. This is to prevent a case like someone leaves for a year with a high RAP, then comes back one day and tries to loot an item. It will also ensure that our more active members are best picks for loot. The set back is that the casual player can possibly be shafted on loot, because in order to keep 25% raid attendance, you must attend at least 1 out of every 4 events. However, given RoS only raids on Saturday's, that is only 1 event per month on an average.
9. Alt's and Bot's attending events may receive loot utilizing the RAP of the main character. Alt's and Bot's will not receive their own set of points/RAP. Only the main will receive RAP. An alt at the event without the main being there will acquire RAP for the main. Bot's at an event with main there, will acquire NO additional points for the main. (NOTE: this rule is set via council and member feedback.)
Loot Distribution
1. Loot is distributed in three options; Major Loot, Minor Loot, and Rot Random.
2. Major Loot
All dropped items will first be offered as Major Loot. Major Loot will cost the receiving member 15 RAP. Once being awarded an item as Major Loot, 15 RAP will be deducted from that member's total RAP and Ratio. If an item dropped has no members requesting to receive as Major Loot, it will then be offered as minor loot.
3. Minor Loot
All dropped items that received no requests as major loot will then be offered as Minor Loot. Minor Loot will cost the receiving member 7 RAP. Once being awarded an item as Minor Loot, 7 RAP will be deducted from that member's total RAP and Ratio. If an item dropped has no members requesting to receive as Major or Minor Loot, it will then be offered as a Rot Random.
4. Rot Random
This Loot option is available to everyone at the event; members, guests, alts, bots included. It carries no points, and no points will be deducted from receiving an item via Rot Random. If an item is not awarded by Major or Minor, then a Rot Random is called and anyone that wants the item and is an upgrade will then /random 1000 at the corpse for the item. This option will NOT be available on god-like items (uber BP's, uber Robes, massive weapons, or Elemental Armor molds/patterns, etc.).
5. Pro's and Con's
Major loot costs more RAP and is easier to receive loot via this option. Sometimes something drops that is a major upgrade for one person, but a minor upgrade for another so the person that it upgrades majorly will be more likely to wage the points for the item where as the person that it only upgrades slightly wouldn't want to wager the points for.
Minor Loot has a smaller RAP cost and still ensures that the item is awarded to a member of RoS. This is an option given that once certain targets become trivial and upgrades from such targets aren't much of an upgrade, they don't cost as much RAP.
Rot Random loot is a gamble. If you want an item, and you have the RAP, request it as Major or Minor. Everyone and their mothers will be getting in on the Rot Randoms, specifically guests.
A person must have the RAP available to receive an item via Major or Minor. Major loot costs 15 points, you must have 15 points in order to request an item as major loot. Same thing for Minor loot, you must have 7 points to request an item as minor loot. This rule is in effect so that loot is distributed fairly. If you don't have enough RAP for major loot, but have enough for minor loot, and an item drops that you could use, then you just have to hope nobody wants it as major and it is then offered as minor.
